Why no one has been arrested …”WAS THIS A FAKE KIDNAPPING?”

Spread the word
What happened to the police investigations into the so-called kidnapping of Kristiana Sankar, the ex-stepdaughter of Minister Stuart Young?

Why haven’t the police arrested the “suspects” in this matter, although they are known to investigators?
Have the police closed this case?

Was a ransom of $167,000 really paid?

Why are the two “suspects” roaming the streets and carrying on their drug trade in Diego Martin?

Where is the West End Police?

Was this a real kidnapping?

These are burning questions to be answered.

Krystiana, 24, was kidnapped around 6.45 pm on April 12 from a house at Alfred Drive, Crystal Stream, Diego Martin. She was found in a house at Morne Coco Road, Diego Martin, around 2 am on April 13.

The police said a $167,000 ransom was paid for her safe release.

But Young said that neither he nor any member of the family paid any ransom to kidnappers to free his ex-stepdaughter.

Young added, “I have seen reports of the payment of a ransom. There was absolutely no payment of any ransom by either myself or her immediate family.”

He said, “As far as I am aware, there is an ongoing investigation. I have had no contact with the police whatsoever during the course of today.”

Young said he was not getting involved and is merely awaiting the outcome of the investigation. Young did not believe the swiftness of Krystiana’s return was because of her relationship to him and the fact he is a Cabinet minister.

He declared, “I don’t think it has anything to do with influence.” Asked to comment on reports that Krystiana knew her kidnappers, Young replied, “I don’t have an answer to that question.”

He said he first learnt about Sankar’s abduction around 7 pm on Thursday, when one of her friends contacted him.

He said Sankar’s successful return was further evidence of his Government working assiduously, and assisting law enforcement to get them more efficient to protect the people of Trinidad and Tobago.

“This reminded me of the abduction of the Chinese Ambassador’s driver. It shows the security forces’ apparatus is working. I encourage them and thank them – I don’t think it had anything to do with ‘influence’.

Back in April, the police identified certain suspects and said it was a matter of time before they are arrested.
