A video which went viral showing a brazen murder in La Horquetta has led to the arrest of the suspect. After people saw the video, they were able to give the identity of the suspect to Homicide police officers.
The Homicide Bureau of Investigations has hailed the assistance of the public in charges laid against a Phase 4, La Horquetta man for the murder of Marvin Bridgeman.
Bridgeman, also of Phase 4, La Horquetta was shot and killed at his home by an unknown assailant November 1. His murder was captured on video and subsequently circulated on social media prompting members of the public to contact the police leading to an arrest.
Keiron Mohammed appeared before Magistrate Debby Ann Bassaw in the Arima Magistrates’ Court charged with Bridgeman’s murder.
Mohammed, 20, was remanded in custody and will reappear on November 22 .
Cpl. Anderson Bernard, Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region Two, laid the charge November 10, after receiving instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard.
A 29-year-old Enterprise woman appeared before a Chaguanas Magistrate on Monday charged with the murder of a 39-year-old grandmother which occurred last week.
Keeda Adarhar appeared before Magistrate Joanne Connor in the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court, where she was not called upon to plead to the charge against her had been laid indictable.
She was later remanded in custody and is expected to re-appear on December 12.
The victim, Pamela Balgobin, was found with her head bashed in next to her Enterprise home on November 9.
Region Three Homicide Bureau officers began inquiries and arrested the suspect, who did not live too far from Balgobin.
