It was another bloody weekend in Trinidad with six murders recorded between Friday and Saturday night.
The latest victim is Diego Forde, 41, of Lodge Road, Claxton Bay, who died near his home on Saturday night.
Around 9.30 p.m, Forde was liming with a group of men on the street when they were confronted by two gunmen who opened fire on the group.
The gunmen escaped in the nearby bushes. Forde died on the spot while three others were wounded. The injured persons were rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital where they were treated.
Forde’s body was removed and an autopsy is expected to be performed on Monday at the Forensic Sciences Center, Federation Park.
No arrests have been made.
The murder toll stands at 102.
