Three men were shot dead in Arouca on Monday night bringing to six killed in the last week in that district.
The dead men were identified as Dwight Richardson also known as “50”, 28, of Eastern Main Road, Arouca; Salim Dominique, 29, of Heights of Gunapo, Arima, while the third remains unidentified.
A fourth man who was also shot, remains hospitalized. He has been identified as Nigel Scott, 22, of Gankanski Avenue, Cocorite Road, Arima.
According to reports, officers responded to a shooting at Nightengale Crescent, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, around 8:55 pm.
On arrival, they found two persons suffering from gunshot wounds. one appeared to be dead while the other was responsive.
Police found another body in a track nearby.
The injured man was taken to the Arima Health Facility where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, around 2 am, officers received information of a man nursing gunshot injuries at hospital.
St Joseph Police interviewed Scott who said he was shot in the Bon Air area.
On August 21, two men were shot dead after attending the wake of their murdered friend. They were identified as Anderson Forbes, 27, of Siskin Drive, Kiskadee Crescent, Bon Air Gardens, and Anderson James, 32, also known as ‘Rodney’ of Kiskadee Crescent, Arouca.
According to reports, both men attended the wake of their murdered friend Ronald Mackie who was shot and killed earlier that day.
