Dale Seecharan didn’t have time to get sleep. He was released from Riverside Plaza, Port-of-Spain, around 10 o’clock on Monday night.
By 2 o’clock on Tuesday morning, Police was knocking at his door in St Helena.
He is back in police custody. Investigators explained that since his release on Monday night, they were able to gather new evidence, so they returned to arrest him.
Seecharan, 38, an employee of IAM and Company, spent four days in police custody, not cooperating with investigators. He gave no statements and he gave no information. The decision to release him on Monday night following a meeting between the police and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
But what Seecharan did not know was that the plan was always to take him again for the murder of Shannon Banfield, 20, whose decomposing body was found last Thursday on the third floor of IAM building on Charlotte Street, Port-of-Spain.
Insiders say police are expected to charge Seecharan for the murder sometime on Tuesday.
