Why is Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley always brass in his comments?
Telling an Opposition Member of Parliament to meet him on the pavement outside.
This caused Opposition MP, Dr Roodal Moonilal, to call Rowley a badjohn after the Prime Minister told him to meet on the pavement.
During the question session on Parliament on Friday, Rowley was asked about the continuing medical expenses of Minister of Public Administration and Communications, Maxie Cuffie.
Moonilal asked whether the PNM would assist Cuffie rather than the taxpayers. Rowley responded, “Madame Speaker, if my colleague from Oropouche East want to talk about party elites I will meet him outside on the pavement.”
Later on in the proceedings, Moonilal directed a question “To the badjohn” and then corrected himself to the honourable Prime Minister.
Couva South MP Rudy Indarsingh said across the floor “It have a lot of badjohn on that side.”
The Speaker ordered Moonilal to properly withdraw his comment which he did.
