Two persons perished in a fire in St Joseph on Monday night.

They have been identified as Peter Felix, 88, and Dominican national, Kris Brewster, 30.

Police said marks of violence were discovered on the woman’s neck. Autopsies have been ordered to determine whether the two were murdered or died in the blaze.

Investigators said a loud explosion was heard at the house located along Wellington Street, off Abercromie Street, St Joseph, at around 10 pm.

Fire officers responded and extinguished the blaze. The bodies were later discovered in the rubble.

“MAN SHOT DEAD IN ST JOSEPH”

A man found dead on the streets of St Joseph on Monday night has been identified as Kern Kendall Exter, 26.

Police responded to reports of loud explosions in the area at around 9.10 pm.

Investigators were told that Exter was standing on the roadway when a car pulled alongside him.

A man came out of the vehicle and fired several shots at him.

Exter, of North Street, St Joseph, was found lying on the roadway.

He was shot in the head and upper body. No arrests have been made.

MURDER ON THE BEETHAM

The body of a man was found on the Beetham Highway on Tuesday morning.

Police responded to a report that a man was seen lying at the entrance of the Beetham Landfill at around 6 a.m.

The man had a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators said the man had not been immediately identified but believe he lived in the area. The body was removed to the Forensic Science Centre in St James.

Police are reviewing video footage.

DEAD MAN WITH MONEY IN POCKETS

The body of a man was found in San Fernando on Monday. All his pockets were filled with hundred dollar bills.

The body, which was not immediately identified, was found at around 9.45 a.m. in a canal at Lady Hailes Avenue.

The body, in an advanced state of decomposition, was clad in a short pants and tee-shirt.

While conducting a search on the body, police found a stack of hundred dollar bills in the pockets of the dead man.

The body was taken to the Forensics Sciences Centre, Federation.
