It is murder number 10 in Tobago for 2017.

The dead man was identified as Rondell Campbell of Mason Hall.

Police said Campbell was walking along the road near his home when he was shot multiple times on Monday night.

Campbell was taken to the Scarborough General Hospital where he died while being treated.

    Police believe he was a victim of robbery as his thick gold chain was missing.

    Meanwhile, there were two murders in Trinidad on Monday night.

    The first shooting occurred at St Cecelia Street, Tunapuna, at around 9 p.m.

    Police said Akido Irving, 19, was liming on the roadside when he was approached by a gunman who opened fire on him.

    Irving was shot multiple times and died at the scene.

    Less than 30 minutes later, homicide officers were called to College Road, El Dorado, where the bullet-riddled body of Shaquille Henry was discovered.

    Autopsies will be performed at the Forensic Science Center, Federation Park, on Tuesday.
