Roger Holder, the man who jumped 11 floors in an attempt to escape from the police last Saturday, has been charged with murder.
Holder will appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court as soon as he recovers from his injuries from the fall from Riverside Plaza, the home of the Police Homicide Bureau. He suffered a broken right hip.
Holder, 39, has been charged jointly with Cornelius La Borde, 26, of Morne Roche Road, Maraval.
La Borde appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Maria Busby Earle-Caddle, in the Port-of-Spain Eighth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday. He was remanded in custody to reappear on December 6.
La Borde and Holder, of Hilltop Drive, Maraval, are jointly charged murdering Donald Marcano and kidnapping a teen relative of Marcano on October 24.
The men are alleged to have shot Marcano, 35, of Hilltop Drive, Maraval while he was at his home.
