Health Inspector shot dead

A 58 year old Public Health Inspector was shot dead and another man wounded at a house Claxton Bay on this morning.
Glen Young was fatally wounded at St Margaret’s Village.
Police said that around 4 a.m.,Young was in his house when he was ambushed by gunmen. He was shot in his head.
Another man, whom police identified as Young’s tenant, was shot in his foot.
Relatives said they did not know of any threats made to Young.
They described him as “the happiest man alive”. Young was not married and had no children. He was an employee of the Ministry of Health and was posted at Piarco International Airport.
An autopsy is expected to performed at the Forensic Sciences Centre, St James.
Young’s killing has taken the country’s murder rate to at 135 for the year, compared to 108 for the same period last year.
