Execution-style killing in Gasparillo… WOMAN SHOT 3 TIMES

Cheryl Joan Cooper who was killed outside her home in Harmony Hall, Gasparillo, on Thursday, was shot three times from close range.
An autopsy performed by pathologist Dr Hughvon Des Vignes on Friday found that the fatal shot entered the right side of her abdomen, punctured her lungs and exited the on the left side.
Cooper, 53, was also shot in the hip and right leg.
She died in the passenger seat of a white Nissan B-12 car.
Carl Edmund, who was seated in the driver’s seat, was shot once in the arm. He remains in stable condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.
Police said the couple were seated in the vehicle when the gunman walked up and opened fire at around 6am.
Cooper was a CEPEP labourer and Edmund was taking her to her work site.
The shooting occurred outside Edmund’s home at Granada Terrace, where Cooper had moved in about six years ago.
It happened a day before Cooper was due to appear in court for a case involving the ownership of a property.
Relatives believe Cooper’s death was linked to the court matter.

Police have requested CCTV footage from surveillance cameras on homes in the area to attempt to track the suspect.

Homicide officers said no one has been detained in connecting with Cooper’s murder.
