A nine-year-old boy died at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mount Hope, on Tuesday night, after he sustained injuries in an accident.
The dead boy was identified as Tyler Edwards, a student of the Carapichaima RC Primary School.
According to reports, Edwards was a passenger in a pick-up truck travelling along the Solomon Hochoy Highway. On reaching Perseverance Village, the pick-up was involved in an accident.
Edwards and another young person were injured and rushed to hospital where he died.
