Republic Bank worker, Nikisha Winter-Roach, who was reported missing six days ago, was found alive on Tuesday morning near her home at Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas.

According to the police, she was found in an apparent disoriented state. She was recognized by a neighbour and the Anti-Kidnapping Unit was notified around 7 am.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday morning, Jason Winter-Roach said his sister was dropped off at home and she was taken to the Chaguanas Health Centre for treatment.

He added, “Paramedics said vitals are good, she lucid, she just had some discomfort at her feet where she appeared to have been bound.”

Nikisha disappeared without a trace last Wednesday.

It was reported that Winter-Roach was last seen last Wednesday at about 5.20 am at her home at Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas.

A missing person report was made at about 4.30 pm that same day by close male friend of hers.

Winter-Roach worked at the Glencoe branch of Republic Bank.

Nikisha last reported for work the day before, on July 25.

Police are now going to investigate the circumstances of this case. When and where Nikisha was taken? Where she was kept? Who detained her and why? Was this a case of kidnapping for ransom? Was this a personal vendetta? Was Nikisha kept captive as a warning to family members?

One thing is certain – no ransom calls were received. Police are expected to interview family members and close friends, including those who saw her just before disappeared.
