A 13-month old child was killed in an accident in Tobago on Friday night.
The boy has been identified as Zion Alleyne.
He was at his family’s home in French Fort, Tobago, when they were visited by officials from the Community Comfort Patrol around 8pm.
The boy and his father were outside talking to the occupants of the vehicle, and the toddler was last seen standing next to his father.
When the driver of the vehicle began to reverse onto the roadway, there was a loud thump, following which they soon realized that young Zion had been hit.
The boy was rushed to the Scarborough General Hospital.
However, he succumbed to his injuries and died on Saturday morning.
