As the bloodshed continues …”BUSINESSMAN SHOT DEAD”

The bloodshed across the country continued with the murder of a businessman on Thursday night.

Quincy Gill, 33, was shot three times and died at hospital after he was shot in Arouca.

According to reports, around 6.30 a.m, Gill, of Region Park, D’abadie, had parked his silver Toyota Corolla and was opening his food outlet at the corner of the Eastern Main Road and Lopinot Junction.

A man ambushed Gill and opened fire, before returning to a vehicle which sped off.

Gill was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mount Hope, where he died hours later.

No arrests have been made.

On Wednesday,  Jelani “Shotta” Warner was shot dead in an alley near Smith Hill, Carenage, around 2 pm.

Warner was in the State’s Witness Protection Programme, but walked out. No arrest has been made and investigations are ongoing.

According to reports, Warner, of Upper Smith Hill, Carenage was walking through a track when a car approached.

The occupants of the vehicle opened fire on Warner who was shot multiple times. He died at the scene.

Warner was very well-known to police with several firearm related, narcotics and shooting offences before the courts.

Meanwhile, Bridgelal Ramdeo, 33, of Ghandi Village, Debe, was discovered 50 feet off Hermitage Estate Road around 10.30 a.m On Wednesday.

He was reported missing to the Debe Police Post on Sunday, and was last seen three days earlier.

Relatives said he was at his brother’s home liming, then he left walking towards home.

Police said the body was found in an advanced state of decomposition, and there were wounds to the head.

The body was removed for an autopsy at the Forensic Sciences Centre, Federation Park.
