Two men were shot dead in Carapo on Thursday afternoon.
They were identified as Kylon Alexander, 24, of D’Abadie, and Shaquille Thomas, 25, of Dookie Trace, Tunapuna.
According to girlfriend, Natalia Dalrymple, Alexander, an employee of the North Central Regional Health Authority, was scheduled to do an examination on Thursday morning but due to the sudden illness of his mother, he did not.
She said Alexander was telephoned numerous times by a friend to go out and eventually left.
She later learnt from a Facebook post that he had been murdered after it was nearing his 10 pm shift and he was not responding. The father of one was described as a family man who spent his time either at work or at home.
In 2016, Thomas’ younger brother, Josiah Ramsahai, was killed in a shootout with police. The 15-year-old was reportedly shot after police came under fire while responding to a report that a man was seen with a gun in someone’s yard off Maingot Road, Tunapuna.
