Two more murders were recorded on Wednesday.

The body of a man was found in a drain behind a school in Tunapuna on Wednesday.


He was identified as Enrico Penco, of Trincity.


Police was contacted at around 8 a.m. and told that a body was seen in a drain behind ASJA Girls’ College.

Officers of the Tunapuna Police Station and Homicide detectives responded.


Police believe that the man was murdered and his body dumped.


The body was removed to the Forensic Science Centre for an autopsy.


In another matter, a 20-year-old man was shot dead in Barataria on Wednesday morning.


He was identified as Keston Joseph.


According to reports, Joseph was at a house party along Upper Seventh Avenue, Barataria, when a lone gunman stormed the premises.


The man shot at Joseph’s direction, hitting the 20-year-old and another man.


The assailant then fled the scene.


Joseph was rushed to the Port of Spain General Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. 

He had been shot in the head.


The other victim – who has yet to be identified – was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.


He is said to be in a serious but stable condition.


The murder toll stands at 56.
